Nasheed has no respect for his country. What he want is POWER, thats why he wanted to change the system of government to a parliamentary system, so he can get elected over and over again. be careful Maldivians, we need Nasheed out of power asap.

wonderful article. It has touched almost all ongoing of Maldives Politics. As the writer had mentioned, there is no rule of law in Maldives. We are living under the rule of jungle where the strong person leads and others listen. now, with the military under his control, president Nasheed is the strongest person in Maldives, What ever he does cannot be questioned by any one. Welcome to Maldives.

Dear Author,

Very interesting article. I myself is a conservative in UK. I have read about Nasheed Mohamed. I thought he can be a model and help bring democracy to Maldives.

I have read about Maumoon too. I understand that the role New Maldives Movement played in bringing democracy to Maldives. I know business Qasim’ story also a little bit.

However, after reading some of the recent articles about Nasheed Mohamed and his behaviour and his war against democracy in Maldives i have to concluded we are seeing many signs of a dictator from him.

I urge all Maldivians to stop him and remove him from power if he doesnt obey the law. A democratic Maldives is to good for all the other countries including UK.
